Immigrants As Museum Tour Guides

The pilot project Multaka: Meeting point museum is an interesting and inspiring way of helping refugees integrate. The project was developed by the director of the Museum of Islamic Art, Stefan Weber, and his team. They focus on training refugees from mainly Iraq and Syria to become museum tour guides in various Berlin museums. The tours are in Arabic and during the project the participants have learnt didactical training as well as studied the museum collections.

The tours are free and offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 15.00 (3 pm). Meet up at the cash register. You can choose to tour the Pergamon Museum, the German Historical Museum, the Bode Museum among others. No booking necessary.
